JOB DESCRIPTION
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Receives instructions, sketches, wiring diagrams, and work orders plans, lays out, and performs all required operations in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of electrical equipment and wiring, such as motors, generators, switchboards, lighting and power circuits, starters, cranes, and trucks.
• Disassembles, analyses trouble, cleans, and reassembles electrical equipment, replacing defective parts as required.
• Installs all types of conduits, making necessary bends, threading and reaming where necessary.
• Detects faulty electrical operations or defective material, diagnoses and remedies trouble.
• Periodically inspects electrical equipment and/or lines for electrical trouble or preventative maintenance. Performs work involving a variety of operations requiring skill and knowledge of trade to insure efficient installation, maintenance, and repair.
• In exchange for these job class adjustments, it is specifically understood and agreed that, in addition to work normally performed by their trade, all skilled trades employees will assist other crafts on any and all work which they have the skill and ability to perform.
• Observes safety regulations.
