JOB DESCRIPTION
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Perform skilled repair of plumbing equipment (i.e., water and steam lines, sewer pipes, trap fittings, plumbing fixtures, pumps, regulators, valves, faucets, toilets, sinks, showers, heating, air conditioning, water softeners, low pressure boilers, cooling towers, etc.)
• Receive work assignments from Supervisor and perform work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Review instructions and select proper tools and equipment needed for work to be performed.
• Perform either temporary or permanent repairs.
• Reports any unusual conditions to Supervisor.
• Participates actively in the training of other maintenance personnel.
• The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
• Experience using various hand tools, wrenches, power hand tools, torches and required equipment to complete task.
• 5 years in industrial plumbing/pipefitting or related skills preferred or Journeyman’s card.
• Willing to work 7 days per week with the ability to request time off with adequate notice.
• Be able to complete work either alone or in a team environment.
