JOB DESCRIPTION
EMPLOYMENT TYPE
The primary function of this position is to support the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems and provide user training and support where required.
Main tasks
• Support development and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations.
• Maintain all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs.
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, messages, and/or emails regarding network connectivity problems. Remains on-call to respond to emergency network outages.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Inter-plant travel to provide support as needed.
• Located in Marion, Ohio
• Position is – FULL TIME
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* College degree in the field of computer science preferred.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of network support experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Working technical knowledge of server and desktop operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows Clients.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, data-driven, and detail-oriented.
• Advanced problem-solving and work prioritization abilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
Candidate must be available for potential travel, possess the physical ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop and move throughout the plant as needed, sit for long periods of time, perform repetitive movements, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and possess the ability to hear and speak clearly, in English, in person and over the phone.
